Two of the most anticipated mid range phones of 2026 are about to go head to head. The Samsung Galaxy A57 launched on March 25 and the OnePlus Nord 6 arrives on April 7. Both sit in a similar price range, but the approach each brand takes is completely different. One bets everything on battery and raw power. The other leans on software and long term support.
I am Ameer Hamza, and at Global Tech Press, I went through every confirmed spec from both phones to see which one actually deserves your money.
The Battery Gap Is Not Even Close
The OnePlus Nord 6 packs a massive 9,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever seen in a OnePlus smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy A57 comes with a 5,000mAh cell. That is a 4,000mAh difference, nearly double the capacity.
OnePlus claims up to 26.9 hours of YouTube playback on the Nord 6. Samsung has not published similar endurance figures for the A57, but based on the 5,000mAh battery and Exynos 1680, a full day of use is the realistic expectation.
Charging Speed Comparison
The Nord 6 supports 80W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. The Galaxy A57 offers 45W wired charging and no reverse charging. For the price, the Nord 6 wins this category easily.
Performance: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 vs Exynos 1680
The Nord 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset from Qualcomm, built on a 4nm architecture, with clock speeds ranging from 2.02GHz to 3.21GHz. The Galaxy A57 runs on the Exynos 1680, also a 4nm chip but aimed at a slightly lower performance tier.
The Nord 6 confirms the presence of a 165Hz display, in line with the OnePlus 15 and 15R. The Galaxy A57 tops out at 120Hz. For gaming and smooth scrolling, the Nord 6 has a clear advantage.
Camera: Samsung Takes the Lead Here
The Galaxy A57 has a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor (OIS), 12MP ultra wide, and 5MP macro, along with a 12MP front camera. The Nord 6 has a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra wide, along with a 32MP selfie camera.
Samsung wins on rear camera versatility. The 12MP ultra wide on the A57 is significantly better than the 8MP on the Nord 6. But the Nord 6 takes the selfie camera with 32MP versus 12MP.

Which One Should You Pick
If battery life and raw performance matter most to you, the OnePlus Nord 6 wins by a wide margin. Nearly double the battery capacity, a faster chipset, a higher refresh rate display, and a lower price make it the clear value pick.
But if you want longer software support, a more polished experience with One UI, and a better rear camera system, the Galaxy A57 has the edge. Samsung’s six years of OS updates and its proven camera processing still carry weight. The right choice depends entirely on what you need your phone to do every day.
