I Compared the Samsung Galaxy A57 with Pixel 10a $50 Difference Tells You Everything

Samsung Galaxy A57 vs Pixel 10a, Galaxy A57 review, best mid range phone 2026, Galaxy A57 camera, Pixel 10a vs Galaxy A57, Samsung Galaxy A57 5G price US

Samsung Galaxy A37 and Samsung Galaxy A57 just announced by Samsung phones and they are coming to the US, but with a starting price of $449, the Pixel 10a, or even the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, might be more worthwhile. That take from 9to5Google got me thinking. So I sat down and went through every confirmed spec to see if it holds up.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G starts at $549.99 in the US. The Pixel 10a sits at $499. That is a $50 gap. And depending on what you care about, that gap either makes total sense or makes none at all.

Where the Galaxy A57 Pulls Ahead

The 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display has a slim bezel for an uninterrupted viewing experience, and Vision Booster keeps your screen clear and bright whether you are streaming, scrolling or gaming.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. The Pixel 10a sticks with Wi-Fi 6. For people in crowded network environments, that 6GHz band access on the A57 is a real advantage.

Build Quality and Durability

The A57 stands out with a slimmer metal frame. It measures 6.9mm thick and weighs 179g. New this year is the improved submersion rating, which earned the phone an IP68 rating.

The Galaxy A57 also has Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on both the front and rear glass panels.

Where the Pixel 10a Fights Back

Pixel 10a, for the $499 that sits right in the middle of Samsung’s new phones, offers the same, if not more, memory, the same storage, a bigger battery, similar processing power, and a similar suite of AI features.

While the Pixel technically has one less camera, Samsung’s third camera is a mostly useless macro sensor anyway. That is a fair point. The 5MP macro on the A57 rarely produces photos worth keeping.

Software Support Comparison

With up to six generations of OS upgrades and long term security support, the new Galaxy A series is built to last. The Pixel 10a matches that commitment with seven years of updates from Google. Both are strong here.

Which One Should You Pick

If you want a bigger displayfaster charging, and that premium Samsung build with IP68, the Galaxy A57 earns its asking price.

Google has a better offering in that $400 to $500 price bracket, and even more so now that Samsung’s prices have gone up. If camera processing and clean software matter more to you, the Pixel 10a is hard to ignore at $499. Both are excellent phones. The right one depends entirely on what you use your phone for every day.
